Sensacell’s Interactive Floor System

Sensacell Corporation announces its Interactive Floor System to the 2008 World Expo, themed “Water and Sustainable Development.” It has been installed at the entrance to the Spain Pavilion, “Comunitat Valenciana.” Visitors who walk across this floor will leave behind luminous footprints and that reminds me of “Michael Jackson - Billie Jean” video clip.

It is a 250 Square foot (25 square meter) floor system, consisting over 1000 Sensacell HSI64-36-W interactive modules. Each of the modules was equipped with capacitive sensors and a LED lighting system. Those capacitive sensors will enable the floor to detect and respond to visitors’ footsteps right through the 20 mm thick architectural glass that forms the surface of the floor. Hmm… fun to play around with it.

The floor will be shown at the Expo- from June 14 through September 14, 2008.
