Rubik’s Cube Subwoofer from Elac

Just like the Teddy Bear USB Drive, it now looks as if the cool DIY Rubik’s Cube Subwoofer idea from last year also has been picked up by a company.

The 4.7kg heavy MicroSub 2010 BT from Elac has four amplifiers and it’s completely vibration free. According to Shiny Shiny, it uses Bluetooth to stream music from any enabled device. Alternatively, you can connect it directly using an RC jack.

There is no info on pricing or availability yet. But, as Pocket-lint points out; it will most likely be quite expensive, considering the standard black or white MicroSub model will set you back around $1,800 USD.

Six Hour Cordless Heat Therapy Shoulder Wrap

Are you suffering from sore and stiff muscles after a particularly hard day of physical labor? Well, if your wife isn’t that much of a masseuse, why not settle for this Cordless Heat Therapy Shoulder Wrap instead?

This cordless, heated shoulder wrap provides up to six hours of deep-penetrating heat therapy to relieve sore, stiff muscles and joints without requiring proximity to an AC outlet. Unlike other wraps that quickly lose their heat, this one is powered by a slim, long-lasting lithium-ion rechargeable battery that ensures consistent heat therapy. The flexible, thin wrap can be worn under clothing, and it conforms to the body without inhibiting movement; the Velcro® fasteners ensure it remains in place. Virtually undetectable carbon fiber heating elements adjust from 108° F to 130° F at the touch of a button on the battery pack. Lasts up to 2 1/2 hours on the highest setting. Recharges via AC in four hours.

You can now get some instant relief for $129.95, and best of all is, there is no need to hold a conversation with the device, allowing you to drift asleep in a peaceful manner.

Coleman Solar Battery Charger

Having experienced a dead battery in your vehicle is surely one of life’s moments where nearly all drivers know. The Coleman Solar Battery Charger will help prevent that from happening, sending a “trickle” charge to the battery as long as it feeds on sunlight. Just make sure you place it in a strategic spot.

Here’s an easy and inexpensive way to keep your car’s 12V battery charged. Place this solar-powered charger on the dash or window for best sun exposure, then plug it into the car’s cigarette lighter. It sends a “trickle” charge to the battery, preventing it from being drained by the clock, radio memory or an alarm which uses power even when the ignition is off. Great for use with ATVs, snow vehicles and vintage cars that are used infrequently. Suction cups hold it on the windshield or garage window. 10-ft. power cable. Includes a battery clamp adapter that lets you connect it directly to a battery, if desired.

It will cost you $29.95 to bring home the Coleman Solar Battery Charger. Perfect for folks with fleets of vintage cars, while we poor plebeians who find it difficult enough to maintain a single car aren’t to likely to run into a dead battery situation from NOT using our vehicle often enough.

Google Chrome open source browser

Just when everyones is getting used to news of Firefox eating into Microsoft Internet Explorer’s market share, along comes Google to upset the natural order of things. This new open source browser will compete with the two mentioned browsers, and this can’t but make me wonder whether Google Chrome will be to Firefox as what Firefox is to IE, quietly nibbling away at the market share? It will be interesting to see how this lightweight and fast browser will take off. It will be launched as a beta for Windows machines only in more than 100 countries, although there are plans to release both Mac and Linux versions.
