Pet Porte Microchip Cat Flap lets in your cat only

Even though I have a pet, I don’t have one of those pet doors. Of course, I have a Chocolate Labrador, and a burglar could easily fit through a dog door that big.

What if there was a way to put a lock on a pet door, and somehow give your pet the only key? This is a basic concept of the Pet Porte Microchip Cat Flap.

This pet door works by identifying a cat by its microchip implant, which is a trend of identification amongst pet owners. In case you are not familiar with this emerging technology, it allows a pet catcher with a specialized scanner to scan an implanted chip in a pet. This allows for proper identification of a pet that is better than an easily removable tag.

Too bad they don’t make a Pet Porte Microchip Dog Flap, because I could keep out burglars and still have the revolving door for my dog. However, the Pet Porte Microchip Cat Flap can successfully keep other cats out. This is especially good for owners who can’t stand it when uninvited cats use their pet door. No more sharing the Meow Mix!

If you would like to get down on this little bit of cat tech, it will cost about £127.00. You should be able to purchase it from the company website.

The Snowball Launcher with 50′ range

Just because you’re an adult does not mean that you don’t still enjoy chucking an occasional snowball at your friends. Actually, at times it makes it more forbidden and therefore a lot more tempting. Well if you don’t have the greatest throwing skills then you might want to look into a cool contraption to help you out. With this cool gun, hopefully no one will notice that you didn’t buy it just because you thought it was cool. Likely they’ll just see a new toy to drool over and your secret of a puny throwing arm will stay quiet.

Not only would this be great for those that have a throwing handicap, but for those that want a longer range with their snowballs. You could stay out of range of your friends efforts at retaliation. The launcher has a 50′ range and shoots at rapid speeds. Hopefully you can either have a friend making the snowballs to load into it or you can reload quickly. Otherwise your enemies might take the chance to gain on you and get revenge. The launcher works with a slingshot mechanism and can be bought for $29.95 from Hammacher and Schlemmer.
