$173,000 Microsoft Sunglasses will make you richer than Bill Gates

First of all the price is not a typo but a seller on Ebay is actually selling what is supposedly the only pair of 1980's Hot Green Microsoft sunglasses which were given out to a few of MS employees and all were lost or broken expect this. They were in use when Microsoft Office was being released. According to the seller.

These bright sunglasses were the reason for many bright attitudes during the rise of Microsoft, and those bright attitudes might be the only reason for Microsoft's success. These hot green shades were making a fashion statement on a desk at microsoft while stocks split and and the company developed!

I can only imagine who would get this? But I have lost all hope when some idiots purchased the $999 iPhone application which gave out bright red light.

The result of Classic and Modern combined

I am so impress with this laptop. Great work Datamancher; this skillfully crafted wood case combined perfectly with a Hewlett-Packard ZT1000 notebook computer, making a laptop user like me swoon over its finishing. This awesome gadget runs on Window XP and Ubuntu Linux, features clock mechanism under the glass top, copper and brass details, comfortable leathered wrist and if you look at the bottom, you will see four sturdy claw feet jutting out. Talking about a elegantly stable laptop.
That’s not all, wait until you get your fingers on the beautiful copper plated keys on the keyboard. Did you wonder how are you going to turn this baby on? You will get the answer at the bottom.

You actually turn this laptop on with the key. Go ahead, give it a good turn

Kuma teddy bear phone

Teddy bears are hot properties among females, and that fact has remained around for a very long time already. Most guys who are attached would have experienced purchasing a teddy bear for their other halves before, so it would make perfect sense for a cell phone manufacturer to take advantage of the situation by releasing a handset that is wrapped within a teddy bear. This new Willcom release is known as the Kuma Phone, and features a bear-specific user interface. For example, you squeeze one of its paws to make a call, while another is used to access speed dial numbers. Pressing the bear’s tail wil hang up or answer a call. The Kuma teddy bear phone will retail for a whopping $500.

Cassette Tape USB Hub

After having seen the classic cassette tape in the shape of a USB drive and MP3 player, you will now be able to take a walk down memory lane using it as a 4-port USB hub.

Now you can power up all your myriad of USB devices with a blast from the past. There may no longer be tape hanging randomly from telegraph poles around the country anymore, but the icon can live on on your desktop.

Features

  • A 4 port USB 2.0 Hub in the shape of a classic cassette tape.
  • Its retro styling looks so realistic you’ll have to stop yourself from trying it in your walkman.
  • This is not a real cassette tape and attempts to play it in a cassette player could cause serious damage to your stereo and the hub.
  • Size: 97 x 61cm
The 4-port Cassette Tape USB Hub is available over at the I Want One Of Those website for £12.99 (about $23 USD)

Darth Vader Radio and CD Player

Let’s start with the obvious - this Star Wars themed AM/FM radio and CD player won’t give you the ultimate sound experience. Still, this black and shiny gizmo, shaped like Darth Vader’s helmet, will make a nice piece of collectable for any Star Wars fan.

Apart from the radio and CD player, you also have the option to connect your MP3 player (at a guess, using a 3.5mm stereo audio plug). There are six visible buttons to control the music plus two placed inside the mouth of Anakin Skywalker’s alter ego - here you will find the controls for volume and eject.

When a CD is playing, you can see the disc spin through the glowing eyes of Darth Vader, which are both illuminated by two red LEDs.

The Darth Vader Radio and CD Player (website in French) requires 6 x LR14 batteries and the product is available from Amazon.fr for 60 EUR (about $88 USD)

Draganflyer X6

I’m not too sure if the Draganflyer X6 was not spelt properly on purpose, but whatever it is, the name isn’t really more important compared to what the Draganflyer X6 offers.

The Draganflyer X6 is a remotely operated, unmanned, miniature helicopter designed to carry wireless video cameras and still cameras. Operate the Draganflyer X6 helicopter with the easy to use handheld controller while viewing what the helicopter sees through video glasses. The Draganflyer X6 helicopter uses a unique 6-rotor design refined from an original concept that has been under development since early 2006. The Draganflyer X6 helicopter uses 11 sensors and thousands of lines of code to self-stabilize during flight. This means the Draganflyer X6 is easier to fly than any other helicopter in its class. The Draganflyer X6 on-board software is the result of extensive testing and development. The Draganflyer X6 helicopter is a revolutionary reconnaissance Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV); it can be transported in a 5.5″ diameter tube slung over the users back while always being ready to launch immediately. Fly it over hills to get a safe view of what is on the other side.

I think for the layman, most of them will use it for less altruistic purposes such as spying on the enemy.

JBL On Stage IIIP

JBL took the opportunity to roll out its high-performance loudspeaker docking station at IFA 2008 - the JBL On Stage IIIP. This dock works great with the new iPhone 3G, offering outstanding functionality as well as crisp audio without compromising on design. Judging by JBL’s pedigree in the past, I have full confidence that the On Stage IIIP will not disappoint if you’re happy with its predecessors. Each purchase will come with an IR remote control that makes it a snap to navigate through your iPod/iPhone. Just in case you’re one of the rare few who do not rock on to an iPhone/iPod, the On Stage IIIP comes with a mini stereo jack that is compatible with other devices.
