No I’m not going to sit on that alone, it is going to show out your weight to the public, I’m sure there are lots of passer-by. Lol. Some bus shelters in Amsterdam have been installed with weight meters. But somehow that’s cool.

The Bloc 100

The Bloc 100 is made by Fitzsu. It is a single block of wood carved into 100 matches. When you need the light, just pluck one and strike it across the base of the cube, pssshh!, you’ve got a fire. Not cheap though, it could be the most expensive matches ever, $48. I can get up to a thousand boxes of normal matches with that.

ust how large do you think the biggest working cell phone in the world will be? Well, it has been unveiled in Chicago, and it measures a gargantuan 15 feet wide and 13 feet tall - definitely not something you are able to tote around and chat with. Currently placed at Fidelity Plaza in downtown Chicago, those who dropped by the unveiling yesterday were able to make free, unlimited phone calls or texts on the gigantic device, although we’d think that text messaging on this will surely take a whole lot longer than placing a phone call. The device relies on service from Cricket and is a working replica of the Samsung Messager, making for a great publicity stunt. Needless to say, you can find this achievement listed in the Guinness Book of World Records, that’s for sure.

The 50 Year Calendar may outlive you

For those pet owners that live to drive their dog insane, try strapping a pedometer on your pup. It’s hours of fun watching them run round and round attempting to catch that little electronic device and chew it to pieces. You can also then track how many miles your dog runs when running all through your house. This pedometer is capable of tracking four feet instead of the two that your average pedometer tracks. It is also able to disregard any shaking or nodding from the dog. On the LCD screen it can show one of 32 icons that will illustrate your dog’s various activities throughout the day, such as taking a nap. It also works as a name tag and runs on a button cell that will work for about a month. It comes in four different colors and can be purchased for 4725 Yen or about $55. Personally, $55 seems a bit steep to me for something that’s just going to become a chew toy.

Kid Finder Tracking Device

Kids often lost themselves in the supermarket, that’s what parents worry about whenever they bring their children to shopping. Princeton has come out with a device to solve that problem. It is called the Kid Finder, it is capable of letting you know both distance and direction of your kids. But please take note that it only works in a range up to 90 meters. The transmitter also comes with a SOS button that will send an alarm to remote in case of danger. The Kid Finder is available at $108.

It is hard to expect more from a portable hard drive, but still i wish Seagate would come up with shock sensors and shielding against fall. It would also be good to have water proof casing. It’s always good to have cover for accidents.
