Boston Acoustics i-DS2 iPod Speaker System

Boston Acoustics, Inc. is back with a brand new iPod speaker system - the i-DS2. Compatible with just about any modern iPod, this stylish and compact solution aims to bring the house down (or at least, your living room) thanks to its stereo sound capability along with integrated 3.5″ full-range speakers that pump out around 60 watts of dynamic power. Boston Acoustics claim that the Horizon i-DS2 will feature deep and power bass to accompany its crisp clean stereo sound. Not only does it enhance the surroundings with pleasant music of your choice whenever you have guests drop by, it also doubles up as an iPod charger when docked, making sure your iPod remains fully juiced up before you step out of the door and head out each morning.
The Boston Acoustics Horizon i-DS2 iPod Speaker System features a hip and compact (5 ½” x 12 ¾” x 5 13/16”) one-piece design geared toward the needs of today’s design-conscious, music-everywhere oriented consumer. With its appealing high gloss cabinet design and perforated metal front grille, the i-DS2 combines contemporary design with extraordinary performance. To ensure the highest quality audio performance, the i-DS2 features an acoustically tuned chamber for maximum bass response. For total flexibility, the universal iPod dock accommodates any model iPod, and the ergonomically designed “mini remote” gives users easy “across the room” access to familiar iPod commands. The Horizon i-DS2 features a composite video output that also lets users show off photos and videos from any video-capable iPod on their TV. In addition, a USB connector allows for iPod communication with iTunes and an auxiliary input allows connections to other media players as well.
You can choose from gloss black or gloss white where the $179.99 Horizon i-DS2 iPod Speaker System is concerned.

Another competitor to iPhone: BlackBerry Thunder

So you thought only HTC is up for beating Apple’s iPhone. Well not now, here are shots of the upcoming BlackBerry’s Thunder featuring a touch-screen (well its not known whether it will be multi-touch or not).
BlackBerry is also expected to roll out a new music service similar to that of Apple’s iTunes which will let BlackBerry users buy music directly from the Thunder. An accelerometer is expected as the below screen-shot is getting a tilted view of Thunder’s screen. A good video player is also found on 360 x 480 resolution screen which is slightly bigger than that of iPhone. Continue reading ‘Another competitor to iPhone: BlackBerry Thunder’

iPhone 3G Telescope

You might remember a similar gadget which was released for the original iPhone. That’s old news. The new big boy in town is the iPhone 3G, so of course we’re all going to need a little update. While the iPhone 3G has been reported as having various networking snags, the new model continues to sell well. Even better than expected. So odds are that a nice chunk of you have upgraded.

If you had the iPhone Telescope for your original iPhone and loved using it to see clear images of objects in the distance, then the iPhone 3G Telescope is what you need for the upgraded Apple mobile phone. The 6x scope allows for an extra boost of sight-seeing juice with your iPhone 3G’s camera.

The iPhone 3G Telescope is optimized for the newer phone’s camera, complete with wide-angle shots, color reduction for a clearer shot, and an all-around effective way of curing your iPhone’s near-sightedness. The Telescope package even includes a neck strap so you can wear your iPhone like a traditional photographer.

The iPhone 3G Telescope seems like an awesome tool for members of the paparazzi and bird watchers who are in need of a speedy (supposedly) 3G network. While it might not be powerful enough to peer into the far reaches of the night sky, it sure can invade someone’s privacy pretty well. You can get your own from Brando for $19.

Apple unslow iPhone 3G in Commercial?

iPhone 3G appear to load web pages pretty fast in its commercial but doesn’t look like it in reality.

Says in Youtuber’s description:
“Apple’s “Unslow” 3G iPhone commercial pretends to demonstrated the performance of the device over the 3G network. To put it to the test, I took my own 3G iPhone to the heart of AT&T’s coverage area in MA (Boylston St. in Boston just across the street from Apple’s flagship store).”
