LG Intros Second-Gen Prada Phone

Hey, technorati fashionistas, good news: the LG Prada phone is back with a vengeance, of sorts. The good/bad news here is that LG hasn't really changed anything about the handset, save for one major feature--the addition of a keyboard.

The messaging keyboard slides out from underneath the phone's large touchscreen. Adds LG, in a weirdly sensual description, "As serenely as it appears it slides invisibly, effortlessly away - a modern icon of mobile style and design with an extra competitive edge."

The LG Prada also features a handful of other improvements, including 3G compatibility for video messaging, a full HTML browser, a 5-megapixel camera with a Schneider-Kreuznach certified lens, Wi-Fi accessibility, and 7.2-Mbps HSDPA.

It will be available in Europe by the end of the year for 600 Euros ($814.74).

Bandai's NetTansorWeb Robot Does Surveillance Work, Blogs Too

Why get a system that can only do surveillance work when you can get one that can do that and blog as well? Bandai's new robot presented during Robot Japan 2008 conference called NetTansorWeb can do both mentioned functionalities. The NetTansorWeb robot that's meant for home use can be controlled via WiFi and is properly built with cameras for surveillance. Since it can move autonomously, it's also equipped with sensors to avoid obstacles. The robot can send you reports of its surveillance through the computer or through your phone when you're away.

Aside from its security features, the NetTansorWeb takes a leaf (pun intended) out of Midori-san's book and can even blog. If you got one explosively successful blog, for example, it can monitor the comments section and respond to requests for image re-uploads. Unfortunately, its measly two and a half hours of battery life is a deal-breaker. However, it's still a good home surveillance option that costs only $500. The Bandai NetTansorWeb will be available in the company's home country of Japan by December

Remember that Laser Target Alarm Clock that was all over the blogs in the beginning of this year? A new model from the Japanese Bandai company has now been released.

The Gun O’Clock looks slightly different and features two wake-up modes: Normal and Hard. The first one works as the original clock; the alarm goes off, you hit the target, the alarm shuts down. But with the Hard mode you will need to hit the target 5 times.

The Beer Bottle Shaped Telephone

If you enjoy hosting parties that involve alcohol out at your place, then this might not be a good phone to pick up. Especially if your friends like to get completely smashed. I imagine it wouldn’t take long for someone to try to open it and drink out of the phone. Thus destroying your brand new novelty phone. Luckily though it’s very cheap, it will cost you $11.19 from Sourcing Map. If you’re slightly confused as to how to hold it, the mic and speaker are both on the body and the numbers are underneath the base.

Electronic paper plane launcher

Ah, the good old days of rebelling in a classroom. I remember folding and throwing paper planes around with my mates, each trying to see just how far our planes are able to fly. We had to rely on hand power to launch our delicate flying machines, but how times have changed! Enter the electronic paper plane launcher. I think the asking price of £11.99 could be better spent at the local watering hole over a few pints and some great finger food, but that’s just me. Talk about excesses during hard economic times.
